Warm-hearted minimalism.
Sand Baya quietly turns its back on the tired boho look in favour of a boutique-hotel sensibility. Sand and ochre run unbroken across polished concrete floors. The walls are worked in deep, matte tones that catch the light like a veil.
Washed linen dresses the beds, woven wicker softens the lampshades, Monstera and Strelitzia trace a quiet jungle. Lighting is indirect, dimmed, conceived as a second skin: warm LED ribbons, brass sconces.
Sand grounds the house in its mineral palette. Baya brings the tropical breath. Together, they trace a signature, and an experience.
A signature feature of this cottage: a private east-facing loggia, looking out over the meadow where our dwarf goats like to leap and gambol on their playground. This is where breakfasts in a t-shirt happen, where the six-o'clock coffee is sipped before the house wakes, and where the first pages of a book turn into the rest of the morning.
Please note: our goats are not socialised. La Grange Essartaise is not a working-farm stay. Observe them from the loggia, but please do not try to approach or feed them.
Designed for families. As parents of three young children ourselves, we know what matters when travelling with little ones: a travel cot with fitted sheet and mattress protector, baby bath, and high chair are all available on request.
The cottage sleeps up to six, but it is at its best for four: a shower room suited to a family or a small group taking its time.

30 % deposit at confirmation, balance 30 days before arrival. Security deposit managed via Swikly (fees borne by the guest). Pets not allowed. See terms & conditions.
Rates all-inclusive.
Per night, per cottage. Beds made, linen provided, end-of-stay cleaning included. No hidden extras. Provisional rates, confirmed when bookings open in autumn 2026.

Things to know before booking.
When can I actually book? +
In autumn 2026, around six months before the cottages open (spring 2027). Waiting list members are notified first.
Can both cottages be rented together? +
Yes. It’s actually one of the estate’s strengths. You can host up to 12 guests on site while keeping two distinct living spaces. Ideal for extended families or groups of friends.
How many bathrooms per cottage? +
Each cottage has one bathroom and one separate WC. At full capacity (6 guests), we invite you to organise usage. Vanity corners are fitted in each bedroom to ease morning rotation.
Is arrival self check-in? +
Yes. A smart lock with dynamic code lets you arrive whenever you like, including late after a day at Puy du Fou.
Travelling with family? +
Yes. We are parents of three young children ourselves, and have designed La Grange Essartaise with families in mind. Travel cot with sheet and mattress protector, baby bath, high chair are available on simple request, at no extra charge.
Are pets allowed? +
Pets are not allowed in either cottage.
What payment terms at opening? +

Yes. A reinforced outdoor outlet (Green’up) is dedicated to each cottage.
