La Grange Essartaise is our barn next to the family home: two cottages designed for families, opening in spring 2027. We chose every piece down to the smallest detail to weave together beauty, practicality and comfort, and to conjure, through objects and atmosphere, the feeling of memories in the making.

A hushed, sensual retreat washed in warm light. Polished concrete underfoot, washed linen, woven fibres, an indoor jungle: a country stay framed by a thoughtful interior, designed for well-being.

A reassuring nest in the slow-life vein. A floral boutis patchwork quilt just like the ones at Mamie Marie's (my grandmother), Arcopal Myosotis tableware straight from Tata Michèle's (my aunt) sideboard, and the LED hearth quietly keeping watch. The bocage, framed in your window.

An experience, not just a roof.
La Grange Essartaise is, first and foremost, the barn next door to our home. We live just beside it, discreetly present to welcome you, point you the way, and leave you to your own pace. You are at home, with someone you can trust nearby should you need it: a tip for a walk, a restaurant recommendation, an unexpected helping hand. We want every stay to carry the warmth of dropping in on friends, while preserving the privacy of a true holiday house.
As parents of three young children ourselves, we know what matters when travelling with little ones; we know how a single forgotten detail can derail a whole day. A travel cot with fitted sheet and mattress protector, baby bath and high chair are available on request, at no extra cost. Bed linen and towels are provided, the beds are made for your arrival, and end-of-stay cleaning is included. Everything is designed to remove any friction: all you have to do is set down your bags, open a bottle, and breathe.
